Looking to create clinically-documented products that address areas such as immune health and weight management, Chr. Hansen A/S, Hoersholm, Denmark, has entered into a five-year partnership agreement with Amino Up Chemical Co. Ltd., Sapporo, Japan. The new collaboration will explore opportunities within functional foods, utilizing the nutritional ingredient portfolios of each company. The first products to come from the new partnership will be launched regionally in the beginning of 2012. The global sales and marketing of the new products will go through Chr. Hansen A/S, with the exception of Japan, which will be serviced by Amino Up.
